Our Founder

Child Jesus Matriculation School owes its existence to the vision of one remarkable man: Rev. Dr. M. Arputham, a Catholic priest who devoted his life to the rural poor of Tamil Nadu.

Pioneer and a doyen in the field of spiritual and social works, Rev. Dr. M. Arputham dedicated his life to establishing institutions that fulfil the educational and health needs of the poor and underprivileged. His journey of social service began actively from the day he was ordained as a Catholic Priest in Switzerland in 1943. Over the decades, he held quite a number of significant posts in the Diocese of Kumbakonam, earning deep respect from the communities he served.

One of his biggest and most impactful works was the founding of Sagayamatha Hospital, which has been catering to the health needs of thousands of people in and around Pullambadi for many years.

Another masterpiece of his tireless dedication was the Arputha Trust, which provides non-refundable scholarships to poor professional course and graduate students, opening doors of opportunity that would otherwise remain closed.

His latest and perhaps most ambitious adventure was the creation of Child Jesus Matriculation School, a testament to his unwavering belief that every child deserves access to quality education regardless of their background.
