Child Jesus Matriculation School has served the families of Pullambadi and the surrounding villages since 1992. We are an English-medium matriculation school under the Tamil Nadu State Board, educating children from LKG to Class 10. Guided by our motto of Love, Wisdom and Ethics, we seek to form young people of sound learning, strong character and generous heart.
Child Jesus Matriculation School was founded in 1992 by Rev. Dr. M. Arputham, L.L.D. (1917–2003). Ordained a Catholic priest in Switzerland in 1943, he served for decades in significant posts in the Diocese of Kumbakonam and gave his life to founding institutions for the education and health of the poor and underprivileged. The school was his latest and most ambitious undertaking, born of his conviction that a good education should be within the reach of every child, whatever their circumstances.
The school did not stand alone. It grew alongside two sister institutions founded by Rev. Dr. Arputham: Sagayamatha Hospital, which has cared for the health of thousands in and around Pullambadi, and the Arputha Trust, which provides non-refundable scholarships to poor professional course and graduate students. Together, these institutions form a single mission of service to the rural community of Pullambadi, in Lalgudi taluk of Tiruchirappalli district.
The school offers English-medium education from LKG to Class 10 under the Tamil Nadu State Board matriculation stream, bringing quality schooling within easy reach of homes in Pullambadi and the villages around it.
More than three decades on, the school remains true to its founder's vision, and generations of children from Pullambadi and the surrounding villages have passed through our classrooms and gone on to study and work across Tamil Nadu and beyond.

The Meaning of Our Crest
Our school emblem is a shield bearing our motto, with a star and a book. The star signifies the almighty power and the sense of direction that every pupil must develop within, while the book represents knowledge.
