School Legislative Assembly

The School Legislative Assembly is one of the most valuable learning experiences of our year, giving students a hands-on introduction to how democracy and government actually work. Rather than simply reading about parliamentary procedure in a textbook, our students step into the roles of elected representatives and experience it for themselves.

Through the assembly, students learned about debate, the moving and passing of motions, the responsibilities of holding office, and the importance of listening to every voice before a decision is made. The exercise built confidence, public-speaking skills and a genuine understanding of civic responsibility that will stay with them well beyond their school years.

Grandmaster Mr. John Louis honoured the elected student leaders with badges and sashes, formally entrusting them with their duties for the year. It was a proud moment for our young leaders, and a reminder to the whole school that true leadership is not about authority but about service to others.
